This amazing event brought together MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning with co-creators Carrie Lamb, owner and designer of FRIDA; Nancy Smithers, owner of Nova Scotia Organics; and Vlad Snytkin, prominent local fashion designer and performer, for a unique fundraiser celebrating and shining light on Nova Scotia’s incredibly talented artists and designers.

For an interesting ‘EDGE’ on a typical runway show, Carrie Lamb styled Marie Webb’s (Lemonade Stand Designs) textile designs with pieces from Carrie’s own eclectic wardrobe and fabulous FRIDA jewels! Marie’s generous spirit and contagious cheerful outlook express a unique vision of love, joyfulness and unconditional positivity, through an eccentric use of vibrant colour.

Vlad Snytkin designed a stellar fashion collection, inspired by the interplay of silver and gold used in the FRIDA signature collection, SHIELD™. Metallic Warriors, accessorized with FRIDA neck sculptures filled with a profusion of vintage crystals, pearls and semi-precious stones, were stunning on the runway. A perfect combination of structural elements!
