Conceptualising and creating beautiful custom designed jewellery and engagement rings for discerning clients is one of the many ways in which we celebrate handcraftsmanship and technical expertise.
I am absolutely passionate about what I do, and feel that therein lies my strength. My aim is always for my client to feel that their vision is fully understood and then to create a beautiful jewel that exceeds beyond expectation.

Introduction & Consultation
Developing The Design Concept
Based on your criteria, aesthetic, lifestyle and investment level, detailed sketch concepts will be created to guide the design of your bespoke jewel.
Final Design Consultation
Review 3D render and/or wax model (optional). A wax model of the design offers clients a more thorough understanding of the finished piece.
Quote & Final Approval
Upon finalizing the design, you will receive a quote outlining design specifications. The quote is valid for 5 days, due to the fluctuating price of gold, and will be as close to budget as possible.
Upon final approval of the design, a 50% non-refundable deposit (minus the design fee and any additional consultation fees) is required for subsequent casting and setting. Remaining balance is due upon collection.

As each piece is custom designed and hand-built, the timeframe varies from apporximately 2-8 weeks for completion, depending upon the design and your approval for production. Special requests and rush orders will be accommodated, if possible.

What To Know Before The Initial Consultation?
Before your consultation, please consider the following questions about your particular request. The more you know about what you would like to have created, the better. Describing your ideas and/or providing inspirational visuals, such as images from magazines or the internet, are helpful. Please note, we respect the works of other jewellery designers and will not create imitations.

Can I Use My Own Gemstones or Materials In The Design?
For any requests regarding re-design and re-purposing third-party stones or gold, please contact us via email at info@frida.ca, prior to scheduling a consultation, as such requests must be assessed on a project-by-project basis. The incorporation of your materials is dependent on the quality and suitability of the metal and stones for the new design.
How Much Does Custom Cost?
The cost of a bespoke creation varies based on various factors, including the complexity of the design, choice of materials, gemstones and craftsmanship involved. We work closely with you to create a piece that meets your personal aesthetic, criteria and budget. As Carrie aims to use the best quality of materials, an upper limit or price range is helpful to provide you with the best advice to suit your budget.
Typically, bespoke projects start from $2,000-$2,500 to wherever you would like to be, which includes a $500 design fee (may vary depedning on the complexity of the design). During your consultation, an estimate will be tailored to your specific requirements, ensuring transparency and satisfaction throughout the process.
How Long Is The Custom Process?

Are Diamonds and Gemstones Ethically Sourced?
Our diamonds and gemstones are conflict-free and ethically sourced, in accordance with environmentally responsible fair labour practices, including the Kimberley Process. Working with small independent suppliers, with whom relationships are invaluable, we source and hand-select the finest diamonds, gemstones and pearls; thus ensuring quality and authenticity.
Depending on the project, we can source a curated selection of diamonds or gemstones for you to select from, ensuring each piece meets your asethetic, criteria and investment level.
Do You Offer Lab-Grown Diamonds?
Yes, the choice is yours. We have the tradition of earth-grown (‘natural’) diamonds, which will never diminish; however, we now have choice. Perhaps the next step in the history of our fascination and love for diamonds lies in lab-grown diamonds, a very ‘real’ alternative.
Lab-grown diamonds share the same physical and chemical properties as natural diamonds. They both hold their sparkle and brilliance forever. Contrary to popular belief, lab-grown diamonds are diamonds.
Lab-grown diamonds are sourced on a bespoke basis, based on your criteria and investment level.
